These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the First Book ai website at https://firstbook.ai and any related applications or services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. 1. Acceptance of Terms You must be at least 18 years old, or have parental or legal guardian consent, to use the Service. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the then-current Terms. 2. Description of Service First Book ai provides AI-powered tools that help users create book outlines, guided chapters, manuscripts, and related writing assets. Core features include, but are not limited to, the AI Book Outline Builder, Book Blueprint, and Full Book Creator. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without liability. 3. License to Use the Service We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for lawful personal or commercial purposes. You may not: • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any portion of the Service; • Share, sell, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the platform itself; • Use the Service to build or support a competing product or service. 4. User Obligations • Provide accurate, current, and complete account information. • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and restrict access to your account. • Accept sole responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. • Refrain from interfering with or compromising the security or operation of the Service. 5. Intellectual Property Rights All platform code, design, text, graphics, logos, and software are the property of First Book ai or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain full ownership of the AI-generated content you create through the Service. First Book ai claims no rights to your generated content; however, we make no guarantee of originality, non-infringement, or suitability for publication. You acknowledge that third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon) may restrict or reject AI-generated content, and First Book ai bears no responsibility for such decisions. You agree not to use our tools to generate content for illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or misleading purposes. 6. User-Generated Content You retain all rights to original content, inputs, and files you upload or submit. By using the Service, you grant First Book ai a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, and process your content solely to operate and improve the Service. You warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or laws. 7. Prohibited Conduct You agree not to: • Violate any applicable law or regulation; • Generate or distribute libelous, obscene, defamatory, violent, threatening, or pornographic content; • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, servers, or networks; • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access or interact with the Service; • Build, market, or support a product that competes directly with First Book ai. 8. Payments, Pricing, and Refunds All paid plans are billed in advance. You may request a full refund within 7 days of initial purchase by emailing hello@firstbook.ai. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchase. 9. Termination We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, misuse the platform, or compromise the Service’s integrity. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately, and we may delete or deactivate your account and related data. 10. Disclaimer of Warranties The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without any express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation, nor the suitability of AI-generated content for any purpose. You use the Service at your own risk. 11. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, First Book ai and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability in any 12-month period will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during that period. 12. Indemnification You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless First Book ai, its founders, employees, affiliates, and partners from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any content you create, submit, or publish. 13. Changes to Terms We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be emailed to the address on file and posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. 14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution These Terms are governed by Danish law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to binding arbitration in Denmark. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in class-action litigation. 15.
